- TO MARKET: Team Chai Pani is opening an Indian street food joint in Ponce City Market
Meherwan and Molly Irani, the husband-wife duo behind Chai Pani, have released details regarding their forthcoming Ponce City Market concept, Boti. Developed by Meherwan and Chai Pani Decatur chef de cuisine Daniel Peach, the Indian street food concept will feature "marinated meats on skewers, cooked on open flame, then served with fresh-made flat bread, fresh herbs and spices." Boti is expected to launch fall 2015.

According to Zagat's recently released 10 Hottest New Atlanta Restaurants listicle, “(g)ems shine from all of Atlanta's disparate neighborhoods, and there are hot places everywhere from bustling Westside to cozy Inman Park and collegiate Decatur.” In other news, St. Cecilia and the Optimist were named among Thrillist’s 21 Best Designed Restaurants.
Juice Heads, an “organic juice boutique” from former professional bodybuilders James and Larissa Cato, should open by Sat., Aug. 15 in the Lindbergh Vista apartment complex, at 2591 Piedmont Road N.E. Juice Heads will serve up juice made with filtered water and organic fruits and vegetables, using cold press and masticating juicers as well as cold treats like pure fruit sorbet and popsicles made of pureed fruits and veggies.
A local real estate blog notes Omaha-based Scooter's Coffee, best known for its blended espresso drinks and real fruit smoothies, is eyeing an Atlanta entry with an initial handful of drive-thru-only units located in several of the city's heavy traffic corridors. Details as they arise.
