Nu Jack's Bar will open a new location in the former Aquarius Lounge space (3050 Martin Luther King Drive S.W.) in Southwest Atlanta. Walter Jordan of the Dogwood Restaurant Consulting Group tells the site the owner plans to create an "upscale sports bar for the mature crowd."

Restaurateurs James Maggard and Jason Hylton (Matador Cantina, Local No. 7, FiveSevenTwo) have purchased Pallookaville but are keeping founder Jim Stacy on as an employee, according to Decaturish. The restaurant will undergo renovations but will retain Stacy’s recipes and quirky qualities.

Chef Chris Edwards has left Holeman & Finch to accept the role of executive chef at Restaurant Eugene, where he became sous chef in 2014. Edwards will bring his “philosophy of cookery” as he continues to work with Linton and Gina Hopkins at their flagship restaurant.

After just five months in business, East Atlanta biscuit bistro and bakery Flora and Flour has shuttered. Flora and Flour products will still be available at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market, and select items will still be sold at Revelator Coffee, Henry & June, and Octopus Bar.

Marlow’s Tavern will open its latest resto in May at the Sandy Plains Centre (2960 Shallowford Road in Marietta).
