Florida-based 4R Restaurant Group will open Atlanta’s first 4 Rivers Smokehouse on Marietta Street next to Thumbs Up Diner. The specialty at 4 Rivers is brisket, but the menu also features barbecued chicken, ribs, pork, and more. The long rumored resto is expected to open in the old fire station No. 16 next year, according to Tomorrow's News Today.

Atlanta’s first Taco Bell Cantina, featuring open kitchens and alcohol, will open at 930 Spring St. near Georgia Tech by late summer. The Cantina concept will be located in retail space below the new University House apartment complex “to attract the coveted millennial demographic,” according to Eater.

On Sun., June 12, JP Atlanta will host four of the city’s noteworthy Latino chefs for A Taste of Puerto Rico: a heritage dinner benefitting local charity Ser Familia. Julio Delgado (JP Atlanta), Hector Santiago (El Super Pan), Carlos Casals (Cherokee Country Club), and Pablo Colon (Ritz Carlton Atlanta), will whip up four Puerto Rico-inspired dishes, and each chef will discuss how his heritage influenced his creation. There will be live music and Don Q rum cocktails before dinner and wine pairings with each course.

Saint-Germain Bakery, a bakery and gift shop from the owners of French restaurant Atmosphere, is slated to open in July at Ponce City Market. Expect pâtisserie classics like croissants, baguettes, macarons, and specialty breads; coffee, salads, coffee, and sandwiches, such as the croque monsieur; and imported French gifts like artisan honey.

Buttermilk Kitchen’s chef Suzanne Vizethann and Smyrna’s Rev Coffee have partnered to create the “Buttermilk Kitchen Blend” of whole or ground coffee beans. Made from Brazil Cerrado and Costa Rica Linda Vista beans, the blend contains notes of creamy walnut. Find it in 12-ounce bags at Buttermilk Kitchen, Lucy’s Market, and Brookhaven Provisions.

Texas-based cookie delivery company Tiff’s Treats will open its first store outside of Texas in Alpharetta at 9 a.m. on Sat., June 11, at 3665 Old Milton Parkway. Tiff’s Treats plans to open two more Atlanta locations in Midtown and Sandy Springs within the year.
