 Sat., June 11, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Master Series: Mushroom Intensive with Tradd Cotter The Homestead ATL is bringing one of the country’s pre-eminent mushroom growers and researchers to impart his knowledge in an intensive and informative mushroom master class. During this all-day workshop, Tradd Cotter — a microbiologist, professional mycologist, and organic gardener who has been growing and studying mushrooms for more than 22 years — will demonstrate the many ways in which fungi can improve our daily lives and environments. The workshop will cover cultivation, medicinal mushrooms role in enhancing health, and the ability that mushrooms have to break down toxins in the environment. Details

Sat.-Sun., June 11-12, noon-8 p.m., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Atlanta Street Food and Music Festival More than 70 food trucks will descend upon Stone Mountain Park for the fifth anniversary of the Atlanta Street Food and Music Festival. In addition to street food eats, such as chicken and waffle fries from Ibiza Bites, Bento Bus’ rice bowl, and Fry Guy’s blue cheese fries, the showcase will feature live music from the Velvet Stones, Vivian Green, Atlanta Funk Society, Bilal, Cody Oliver, and more. Proceeds will benefit the Giving Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides assistance to hospitality workers in crisis. Details

Brookhaven MARTA Station
 Sat., June 11, 3-8 p.m. Brookhaven Beer Fest Spiral Entertainment heads into year six of Brookhaven’s annual beer fest. Sample more than 150 ales, IPAs, stouts, and other brews and varieties of fermented grape juices. Sold out for three years running, the festival also features live music, DJs, and bites from food vendors. Tickets include all the beer and wine a bladder can handle. Gunshow Sun.-Mon., June 12-13, 6-9 p.m. Hired Guns: Kenny Gilbert Chef Kevin Gillespie has invited fellow “Top Chef” alum chef Kenny Gilbert to collaborate with chef Joey Ward and the Gunshow team. The Ohio native co-owns Jacksonville’s Underground Kitchen, where he spices things up every week with a different seasonal pop-up menu.
