Marco's Pizza opened at 798 N. Highland Ave. on June 27 after more than a year of planning. The quick-service concept fills the space once occupied by the city’s only Ben & Jerry’s, which closed in November 2011, according to What Now Atlanta.

Gusto!, the fast-casual concept from former NFL QB and Georgia native Nate Hybl will open its second Atlanta location in the former Real Chow Baby Space at 782 Ponce de Leon Ave. N.E. next month. Look for further expansion of the concept in the near future.

This Fourth of July, chef Kevin Gillespie’s Terminus City project will sell barbecue plates to benefit the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Communion, the beer garden at Gillespie’s Revival in Decatur, the Terminus City crew will dish out chopped whole hog barbecue sandwiches, Brunswick stew, potato salad, coleslaw, and fried pie. The Emory Healthcare Veterans Program helps post-9/11 veterans “heal the invisible wounds of war and ease their reintegration into everyday life.”

The third location of OTP-based bar and grill McCray’s Tavern is slated to open in October at Atlantic House, the 32-story tower at the intersection of 14th and W. Peachtree streets. Caribou Coffee will and Einstein Bros. Bagels also have plans to open at the development.

Big Easy-style eatery N'Awlins is moving into Marietta Square. The Clean Plate Hospitality team’s concept is slated to open at 105 Park Square on Oct. 1, reports What Now Atlanta.
