Get groovy with CL's Nightlife Issue

Hey daddy-0, you longing for a good excuse to twist the night away? Don't snap your cap – Creative Loafing's Nightlife Issue is here to help. We sent Staff Writer Thomas Wheatley to play with the playas at the Gold Room; Music Editor Rodney Carmichael found some Southern Comfort down on Moreland; Managing Editor Chanté LaGon discovered the secret code to slip into Prohibition; and Music Writer Chad Radford eased himself into the Midtown scene – and found that crowd avoidance has its perks. We've also cobbled together a guide to getting free drinks, a list of the best cocktail purveyors in town, and a gallery of Atlanta's most noteworthy bar bathrooms, from skuzzy to sparkling. Throughout this guide, you'll find more insight into Atlanta nightlife: an evening out with a graffiti artist, a glimpse inside the city's cocktail revolution, and a roundup of the city's best DJs. So put on your heppest outfit, and come spend a night on the town with us. We swear it'll be a gas.

On Tuesday, I asked folks to tell us what they'd like to see from CL over the next 40 years for a chance to win tickets to this weekend's Brew Your Cask Off event at Sweetwater. I got a ton of great responses, some hilarious and some thoughtful. But my favorite was this, by Steve Luxenberg:

Since newsprint is so passe, and the interwebs are dying, I'd like to see Creative...

A couple of things of note over on Fresh Loaf: Thomas Wheatley has a post up about the frightening U.S. Department of Agriculture's map of Atlanta's food deserts. That's deserts, not desserts, don't get your hopes up.

Also, I'm at the ACC Tournament. Woo-hoo!!
