Gen. Larry ‘Pants on the Ground’ Platt: Confederate statues ‘are trying to drive the black folks out of the community’

The committee deliberating on the fate of Rebel relics held its first public hearing yesterday

Platt, who was granted the title of General by civil rights icon Rev. Hosea Williams for his work in the movement, attended last night’s Confederate monuments advisory committee meeting to voice his concerns with monuments and street signs peppered about metro Atlanta.
