Mary Norwood just tapped rival-turned-ally Peter Aman to lead the team that could soon help move her administration into City Hall.
His role, of course, hinges on a Norwood win in tomorrow’s mayoral runoff election against her fellow councilwoman Keisha Lance Bottoms.
Aman, the city’s ex-chief operating officer and a former mayoral contender who served as a thorn in Norwood’s side on the campaign trail, will be chair of the transition team, with Mtamanika Youngblood as co-chair. Youngblood, a longtime community advocate, had previously stumped for Aman’s bid.
