Inman Quarter’s latest concept, Char Korean Bar & Grill, which opened less than a month ago, has replaced opening top toque Ryan Catherall with former sous chef Shaun Byun, Eater reports. Further details regarding the circumstances of the change were not available.







Buckhead Vietnamese concept Pho King is slated to open its second ATL restaurant at the Plaza Midtown condo tower this December. Pho King will replace the former fast-casual salad concept, Dressed.

Mix’d Up Burgers has signed on to the highly anticipated Hosea L. Williams Drive and Second Avenue project. The development already has the Greater Good Barbecue, Poor Hendrix, and Robert Phalen’s Mary Hoopa’s House of Fried Chicken & Oysters on its restaurant roster. The East Lake Mix’d Up will be a more expanded version of the Grant Park location.

Inman Park’s AMER is now open from 5 to 10 p.m. on Sundays. The cocktail bar will serve Sunday-only lobster rolls and tomato bisque as well as cocktails from a new $6 “Sour Hour" menu and with regular cocktails and small bites. Sour Hour selections include pineapple daiquiris (aged rum, pineapple, lime, cane, tiki bitters), Old Fashioneds (bourbon, sugar, bitters), and clarified Hemingways (rum, clarified grapefruit, clarified lime, maraschino, green chartreuse).

One of the largest whiskey tasting experiences in the U.S., Whiskies of the World returns to the ATL on Sat., Oct. 22. from 7-11 p.m. at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta.

Sunday Supper South will host its seventh annual event on Sun., Oct. 30. The Atlanta fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation will be held at Ponce City Market and will feature a culinary roster celebrating an award-winning line-up of all female chefs.
