WREK turns 50
The celebrated voice of Georgia Tech
After five decades on the air, the annual WREKtacular hosts two nights of local music and arts at the Bakery. “Yukons is stoked to be apart of this year’s WREKtacular, playing alongside some of our favorite Atlanta artists and friends,” Dollar adds.
Both nights feature performances by a variety of local outfits and visual artists. Groups such as OMNI, Elf Power, Ethereal, Chew, Pylon Reenactment Society, reunited rockers BOB, and more head up a stacked bill that has assembled to honor WREK’s legacy.
BONUS: The first 150 Georgia Tech students get in free if they RSVP via Facebook. Everyone else can pay the man.
Also, it’s important to note that the WREKtacular fest has been moved to the Bakery in Adair Park/Oakland City.
