The Kraken Quartet plays the Bakery June 10

Tonight (June 10), the Austin, Texas-based Kraken Quartet makes a rare appearance at the Bakery, supporting the group's latest album, Separate | Migrate.
The group creates a swirling instrumental concoction of percussion and electronics-based compositions, resulting in a lattice of influences colliding under one seriosuly introspective groove. There’s a little bit of Broadcast going on here, and a lotta bit of Tortoise. But the group's virtuosic playing and polyrhythmic ways are undeniable. The Kraken Quartet creates a sublime post-rock soundtrack, bringing Sunday evening in for a soft landing.
