SEE & DO: Atlanta Summer Wine Festival
The Atlanta Summer Wine Festival returns Aug. 11 — because there’s nothin’ wrong with getting a little boozy in summertime
There’s nothin’ wrong with getting a little boozy in summertime. The second annual Atlanta Summer Wine Festival returns with two separate sessions, allowing guests to taste wine where the atmosphere’s just right. The festival will be held at City Winery, Atlanta’s urban winery and intimate music venue. Each session will feature local musicians on the top floor: Session one attendees can expect local artist Jason Pomar and local band The Spins upstairs; session two continues local lovin’ with Michael Magno and Sucker Punch. DJ QTip will keep the good times rollin’ and man the stage downstairs all day and night. There will be more than 60 wines and over 20 beers from local breweries including Eventide, Scofflaw, Second Self Brewing Co., and Treehorn Cidery. Food will be available to cure the drunken munchies and each ticket includes entry into the fest, a souvenir tasting glass, entertainment, and all the beer, wine, and cider samples. Leave the kids at home and treat yo self to all the goods summer has to offer.
$45-$60. Noon-4 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. Sat., Aug. 11. City Winery, 650 North Ave. N.E. #201. 404-946-3791. www.atlantawinefestivals.com.
