Atlanta city councilman Antonio Brown has yet to pay off debts incurred by his failed mayoral campaign, according to a former staffer. Brithney Buchanan, who handled public relations for the effort, says she got paid for her first two months of work, but “things started slowing down around the end of July” and is still owed $3,700. “We know that there were funds there; it just was allocated for things other than paying people back.” Brown is also facing trial on four felony fraud charges for alleged activities said to have occurred before his being elected to public office.
