NEWS BRIEF: New creative hub opening for local Black musicians
Atlanta a ‘happening music community’
A four-story building in the Atlanta University Center will be the home of Rockstar Culture Labs, a concept aimed at empowering the next generation of local Black artists with direction from key music industry figures. Funded by beverage maker Rockstar Energy and opening in April, the lab will have at its disposal Blueprint Group CEO Cortez Bryant who has worked with Drake and Nicki Minaj; BPG Records CMO Al Branch, and Ashaunna Ayars, founder of The Ayars Agency, among others. Bryant said this new endeavor “in one of the country’s most happening music communities gives us another platform to create incredible opportunities for Atlanta’s Black artists.” billboard.com
