NEWS BRIEF: BeltLine Northeast Trail breaks ground between Piedmont Park and I-85
Dickens brings ‘opportunity’ via BeltLine

The Atlanta BeltLine is expanding the paved Northeast Trail in Ansley Park and Piedmont Heights, extending it another 1.2 miles that will eventually connect 45 neighborhoods. The full segment runs between Westminster Drive in the south to Mayson Street in the north.
“My Administration is drawing circles of inclusion, and the Atlanta BeltLine is the best physical example of that in our city,” said Mayor Andre Dickens. “The investments in the Atlanta BeltLine have made the expansion of the Northeast Trail possible, bringing more greenspace, accessibility and opportunity to all corners of Atlanta.” beltline.org

Atlanta Beltline Northside Trail
With the opening of the Northside Trail in April 2010, the neighborhoods around Collier Hills are now linked by a continuous mile-long trail. The updated trail traverses the Howard Property, “Cathedral Woods,” and Bobby Jones Golf Course, from Ardmore Park to Atlanta Memorial Park through Tanyard Creek Park.
