United Parcel Service has so far supplied free transportation of medical supplies for Ukrainian refugees valued at $8 million, with more than 1 million meals, 840,000+ pounds of relief supplies and 90,000 blankets and coats, says a press release announcing outcomes of the Atlanta-based carrier’s ongoing Impact Summit in the city.

Similarly, the UPS Foundation is funding shipments of vaccines and critical healthcare supplies to millions of people across Nigeria and Kenya. Closer to home, the company says it’s investing in the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs; supporting the National Center for Civil and Human Rights to provide DEI training and research for the LGBTQ+ community; assisting the Atlanta Police Foundation with the At Promise Youth Centers; giving scholarships to the Atlanta University Center Consortium and the Morehouse School of Medicine “as well as other initiatives designed to elevate underrepresented populations, drive economic development, and support Atlanta youth,” the release stated.
