“Pathetic racist architect’ fights ‘erroneous and politically driven persecution’
A prominent criminal defense attorney in Atlanta has been retained by Donald Trump for representation in the 2020 election interference case in Georgia. Drew Findling’s clients have included rappers Cardi B, Migos and Gucci Mane, comedian Katt Williams, as well as Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill, who was accused of violating the civil rights of detainees by strapping them in chairs for hours at a time.
Findling is not known to be a supporter of the former president, though, calling him a “racist architect of fraudulent Trump University” and “pathetic” in a 2018 tweet. But in an Aug. 11 statement, Findling derided Fulton County’s probe as “an erroneous and politically driven persecution” and added, “I may differ politically from many of my clients, but that doesn’t change my commitment to defend against wrongful investigations.” Details: theatlantavoice.com
