Soccer Superstar comes to Carter Town Hall

Soccer star Megan Rapinoe has accepted an invitation from Emory University to deliver the keynote address at the latest Carter Town Hall on Monday, Sept. 19. Rapinoe is a two-time World Cup champion, an Olympic Gold Medalist, an advocate for LGBTQ causes and a Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree. She successfully pushed for pay equity in the U.S. Soccer Federation and is a bestselling author.

The Carter Town Hall was started in 1982 as a forum for first-year students when former President Jimmy Carter became a Distinguished Professor at Emory, and he led every gathering for almost 40 consecutive years. Details: emory.edu
