NEWS BRIEF: GDOT predicts ‘profound delays’ with upcoming I-285 lane closures

Major disruptions that will last deep into 2023 are anticipated for I-285 commuters due to a series of lane closures, the Georgia Department of Transportation is warning. One of the Southeast's most heavily trafficked freeways is being reduced to three lanes in each direction at the intersection with Ga. Highway 400, between Roswell Road and Ashford Dunwoody Road, to allow for work on bridges in the area. GDOT officials said in an announcement this week that work will begin this Saturday with lane closures happening gradually over a period of time. Details: urbanize.city
