The Augusta National Golf Club, home of the Masters tournament each spring, is one of several powerhouse organizations that are under a Department of Justice antitrust investigation into the professional sport, according to Market Watch. Also under scrutiny are the United States Golf Association and the Professional Golf Association Tour, the article says.
The PGA has been fending off a challenge from the upstart, Saudi-backed LIV Golf’s bid to establish a rival golf tour that has so far enticed several star players to defect.
