Brooklyn-born lyricist and one-half of Black Star (along with Yasiin Bey, aka Mos Def), Talib Kweli is a stylish and self-made thinker and doer who continually raises the bar for hip-hop in the 21st century. On the heels of releasing his latest album, The Seven, Kweli's street-hardened thinking man vibe blends with Vikter Duplaix's glowing baby-making bedroom jams as they tag team the turntables for the Kiss-N-Grind party. Duplaix has become a house-rocking fixture for the party, which is something of an L.A. nightlife institution. Now, he's spreading the good times to the rest of the country one city at a time.
