The South in Color
Over the course of his career as a folklorist, University of North Carolina history professor William Ferris has documented famous and not-so-famous Southerners. In his first exhibition of color photography, Ferris captures the everyday moments of Southern people, depicting the likes of prisoners, quilt makers, and roadside vendors in the simple moments of their days.
