Rapper Big Freedia, aka the Queen of NOLA Bounce, is the unofficial ambassador of homegrown New Orleans hip-hop. For decades, she’s honed her ruthless lyricism and wild production throughout NOLA’s club circuit, gaining recognition for her powerful live performances. In a one-night bass-heavy blowout titled United States of Bass, Red Bull Music Academy brings together Big Freedia with an impressive mix of rappers and producers who have spearheaded the development of Southern hip-hop. The shows openers include producer Mr. Collipark of Ying Yang Twins fame, T.I. collaborator DJ Toomp, and Atlanta rapper Kilo Ali.
