From the venue:
Cognitively-Based Compassion Training (CBCT) is based on Tibetan Buddhist mind-training practices. It was developed at Emory University as a research tool to examine the impact of compassion meditation on the mind and body. This presentation will explain the theoretical basis of CBCT and provide an overview of Emory’s research findings. The discussion will also include how CBCT is being used in medical, educational, and religious communities. There will be plenty of time for questions. Admission is free, and all are welcome. An event sponsored by the Atlanta Interfaith Leaders Fellowship.
