From the venue:An assortment of original Hank Aaron materials, now open for research use at Emoryâ€™s Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL), will be featured in a small exhibit on the baseball legend. Materials on display, drawn from several collections, will include Aaronâ€™s scouting reports, telegrams between the Braves and Aaronâ€™s Negro League team, and a sample of the hate mail Aaron received as he closed in on Babe Ruthâ€™s home run record, which he broke with his 715th home run in 1974. Curated by Emory University juniors Kyle Arbuckle, Warren Kember and Brett Lake, members of Emoryâ€™s baseball team.
