Eskmo with Robot Koch, 10th Letter
Thursday August 21, 2014 08:00 PM EDT
Cost: $13-$15
From the venue:
Los Angeles-based composer and producer Brendan Angelides, better known to most as Eskmo, is a master of melding sparse electronic beatscapes and creeping mutant pop to arrive at a sound that’s completely his own. Since releasing his self-titled full-length in 2010 via Ninja Tune, Eskmo’s tunes have arrived bearing the names of such staple electronic music labels as Warp Records and Planet Mu. Live, he’s known to bring random objects onto the stage: water bottles, cans, scrap metal, and samples the sounds of pouring water from one cup into another to create a loop, all while keeping the dance floor moving. Opening the show On Fri., Aug. 22, glitch hip-hop producer Robot Koch makes his Atlanta debut.
