With an average age of 70, Crosby, Stills & Nash aren’t getting any younger, and they’ve sworn off releasing new music altogether. So this is the very definition of a victory lap for the ’60s/’70s and beyond era trio. And who would begrudge these folk-rock veterans that luxury? Individually and in various combinations, with and without Neil Young, Crosby, Stills, & Nash have been recording and touring for decades, campaigning publicly for their environmental and political beliefs with a resolve and determination shown by few of their peers. Stephen Stills remains one of the better working lead guitarists of his AARP generation (his recent blues band side project is aces), and, oh yeah, those three-part harmonies still send shivers.
