Georgia has more solar power than most people think, but the big story is what’s to come. Currently Georgia has more than 20 megawatts of solar capacity installed throughout the state. Recently, Georgia Power announced plans to buy an additional 210 megawatts over the next four years. Combined, this increased capacity could power over 25,000 homes.
