This lecture is presented as part of the exhibition “Stories Without an End: Power, Beauty and Wisdom of Women in African Art of the Mehta Collection” on view through April 21, 2019.

Ms. Anne Gahongayire was formerly an External Relations and Partnership Development Officer with The Grandmother Project, a nonprofit organization that promotes the rights and well being of women and children in developing countries. Anne also served as adjunct faculty and scholar in residence at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, giving lectures on a variety of topics including leadership, women’s rights and peace building; offering support to Oglethorpe University’s global education program and to the Oglethorpe Women’s Network; and facilitates collaboration between the university and civil and human rights institutions .
