Marriage Equality Birthday Party at East Fork Pottery

Wednesday June 26, 2019 05:00 PM EDT
Cost: Free

From the venue:

On this day in 2015, the Supreme Court of the United States passed Obergefell v. Hodges, a landmark civil rights case ruling that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples by both the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. We’ve got a million miles left on this road toward equity, no doubt, but we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate how far we’ve come.

Come join us at East Fork Atlanta (in Westside Provisions District) to raise a glass to this momentous occasion. We’ll have birthday cake, drinks, and will be releasing this year’s batch of Equality Mugs in our limited yellow glaze, Pollen. Every year on June 26th we donate 100% of profits from sales of the East Fork Equality Mug to The Campaign for Southern Equality.
