Their music is a beacon of fun and groovy times, so it’s only fitting that CHERUB’s Jordan Kelly and Jason Huber met on boogie boards in a water park in Nashville. That’s not to say they aren’t serious about their music — the two also studied music technology and business together at Middle Tennessee University. Since then, they have used this winning combination of fun and hard work to become the massively successful indie-pop stars they are today. Their music has foundations in indie-pop, but includes elements of funk, electronic, and dance, with tongue-in-cheek style lyrics. After their wet and wild first three albums, their newest singles hit like a welcome release from the heat of the party onto the patio or into your friend’s bedroom. In other words, they’re about sex and chillin.’ -- Narah Landress
