Cider was once a mainstay of the American farmstead. In this workshop, you’ll rediscover the lost craft of cider making from some of the best cider makers around!
This workshop will be taught by Robby Astrove, as well as Almeta Tulloss and Nicole Bluh, owners of Cherokee Moon Mixology. You will learn which apples make the best cider, how to grind and press apples, how to ferment your cider for best results, and how to bottle your cider at home. You’ll also learn how to transform hard apple cider into apple cider vinegar, and get to make two-holiday libations using locally grown apples and herbs.
