In “Digging Deep for Buried Goods with Chika Unigwe,” prompts will lead us to create new works or at least the beginnings of new work (fiction or nonfiction).

Chika Unigwe was born and raised in Nigeria. She is the author of On Black Sisters Street (Random House, 2011), Night Dancer (Jonathan Cape, 2012) and a collection of short stories, Better Never than Late (2019). Her new novel will be out in the UK and US in 2023. She has won awards for her writing including the $100,000 Nigeria Literature Award. Widely translated and anthologized, she teaches creative writing at Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA.
