Public Master Class with Guest Artists Xan Burley and Alex Springer

Dance and choreography duo Xan Burley and Alex Springer are in residence for two weeks this fall through the Donna and Marvin Schwartz Center Artist in Residence Program. Described as “Annoyingly fantastic dancers. Just perfect in how they parsed momentum, suspension, initiation,” by dance educator and writer Susan Van Pelt, Burley and Springer are generous dance technique teachers. Xan and Alex’s choreography has been presented by the most prestigious dance venues in New York City and beyond, including the American Dance Festival and Jacobs Pillow. Before attending Smith College, where they both earned master of fine arts degrees, they danced with the highly acclaimed Doug Varone and Dancers. This class is open to the public but is intended for intermediate to advanced dancers.
