CL Critic Doug DeLoach Recommends: The fifth SoundNOW Festival celebrating post-classical chamber music continue with a free concert at GSU’s Kopleff Recital Hall by Chamber Cartel. Led by founder and artistic director Caleb Herron, Chamber Cartel will present a program that includes Riding with Death by Drew Baker, The Toy Robot’s Mechanical Heart by Christopher Adler, Night of Panby Aaron Jay Myers, Three Canticles of the Birds by John Luther Adams, Cold Mountains, One belt, heart-break green by Carolyn Chen and Domination of Black by Drew Baker. - DD

Now in its 5th year, SoundNOW is proud to present the very best in classical contemporary music as performed by Atlanta’s premiere new music ensembles. Experience SoundNOW 2022 as ten Atlanta new music ensembles come together for another dynamic showcase of the city’s vibrant new music scene! New this year, in celebration of our 5 Year Anniversary, we are adding two additional events: a panel discussion on the Atlanta New Music Scene - Past, Present, and Future as well as a party at Orpheus Brewing! It’s a full week of wildly eclectic musical styles and chamber experiences.
