Madigan Recommends:Â Half a dozen local artists who first exhibited at Spruill Gallery over a decade ago are showing what their work looks like now in the aptly named exhibition âProgression.â This new collection of paintings, collage, mixed media and ceramic sculpture highlights the transition of Meg Aubrey, Erin McIntosh, Susan Ryles, Ashley Schick, J. Glenn Taylor and Kyungmin Park, all of whom had originally been designated âemergingâ artists. âTo be able to show the work of an artist at various points in their career is such a privilege,â said gallery head Jennifer Price. âI am so honored to be able to organize this show and let the community see the evolution of these artists over the course of the past decade or more.â An artistsâ talk will take place at the location on Saturday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m. â KCM

In this summer invitational, the Spruill Gallery proudly welcomes back six former Gallery Artists from our 2009-2012 Emerging Artists shows. It’s been more than a decade, and this new collection marks the evolution of each artist â their Progression.
Join us on Thursday, July 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the Opening Reception and on Saturday, August 13 at 2 p.m. for an Artist Talk. This show runs from July 14 through September 3.
