Beginning Sculpting and Hand Building with Clay at Marietta Cobb Museum of Art
Wednesdays 4:00-6:00pm, August 17- September 21, 2022 (6 weeks)

Learn techniques for manipulating clay without using a pottery wheel. You can make a vessel using slabs or coils, create two-dimensional relief landscapes, or sculpt forms inspired by people, animals, and architecture. Sheila will guide you through the techniques and help you to create projects around your interests. This session is appropriate for adults and youth age 11+.
All supplies are included, and you’ll leave class with at least one finished piece. (Most students end up with many finished pieces, but not every creation survives the kiln.)
