CL Critic Hal Horowtiz Recommends: Soulful bluesman Karp is a local favorite who appears here often and has generated a substantial following. Although his albums are excellent, especially his most recent Magnificent Heart, it’s live where his talents are most impressive. The guitarist/singer/songwriter has just returned from an Italian tour; he should be primed for more great gigs in the US. Delta Moon fans alert: Mark Johnson is a member of Karp’s band. — HH
