R oy Saunders

Roy Saunders is a Southern musician who blends the sounds of Country, Bluegrass, Southern Rock and Blues into a sound that could only be described as Appalachian Outlaw Country. Certain obvious influences stand out including The Highwaymen, Cody Jinx, The Allman Brothers and Blackberry Smoke.

-¹Born in the North Georgia mountains, he has a long musical heritage beginning with his grandfather, a popular professional pianist and Musician’s Union president. His father was an acclaimed touring and studio guitarist.

In 2012 Roy formed the Atlanta based band 11th Night with his brother Ryan. He then moved to Savannah where he co-founded the Garth Brooks style duo Escaping Fate with low country legend and musical mainstay, Jay Morelock. While in Savannah Roy opened for Ian McLagan, Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin’ Stones, People’s Blues of Richmond, Zack Myers of Shinedown and Austin Webb.

Now based in Atlanta, Roy plays regularly across the Southeast as a Solo or Duo with percussionist Tom Dickenson. His debut EP, Stranger, was released in early 2021. The music video for the title track was filmed in the Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary.

He is currently writing new music and will Tour the US in 2023/24.

Justin Mychals

Eastern Tennessee native Justin Mychals’ music is a journey to simpler times. His unique style, best described as Appalachian Mountain Soul, recounts stories like those of his Daddy and Granddaddy, running’ moonshine in the late 1920s, to avoid working the local mines. The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, bass) takes storytelling inspirations from long-time greats like Merle Haggard, Harry Chapin and Jim Croce.

He has released three albums prior to 2022: Days of Thunder (1998,) Mandolin Morning (2014) and Lilac (2018.) All three albums were self-produced with Mandolin Morning being recorded at Justin’s former studio, Sound house Recording, while Lilac was recorded at Daywind Studios in Nashville. Days of Thunder was recorded at White Room Studios in Charlotte, North Carolina.

His 2022 album, Appalachian Mountain Soul, features the songs “Hallelujah Hill” and “Die With An Empty Gun” — which have amassed close to 200k views on YouTube and garnered the attention of fans and music industry veterans.

He’s a seasoned performer, known for his storytelling stage presence — and has played many shows throughout the Southeast region for decades. 2023/24 will see him expanding his Tour dates into other regions of the US.

He is also the principal songwriter and Lead singer of the Cathead Biscuit Boys.
