The opening reception will be on First Friday, June 2nd, at 5 p.m.Enjoy an evening of beautiful art, Jamaican music, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres, as well as an art talk with Vivia Barron.
About the exhibition:
The exhibition is inspired by Vivia Barron’s deep connection to water. From her childhood in Jamaica to her work as an artist in St. Petersburg, FL, water has been a constant presence in her life. This series of paintings celebrates Black Joy and the rich history and connection of black people to water. Don’t miss this opportunity to be moved by the powerful connection between black people and water.
