ABOUT THE SHOW
Cyrus DeShield is a Liberian - American who has turned his Journey into a Testimony through his music.

Leaving Liberia due to Civil War crisis and arriving in America, Cyrus made the decision to follow his heart and stick with his talent. He is recognized by many for his musical IQ but notably when Bell Biv Devoe brought him on to write and vocal Produce majority of their Return Album “ Three Stripes “ which was loved by fans including “Finally“ their single which featured R&B trio and Royalty SWV. R&B Soul Legend Musiq Soulchild took him under his wings and brought him on as a Co-writer for “ Start Over“. A lead single which charted on Billboard's Adult R&B Charts in 2017. The Album "Feel The real" went on to receive a Grammy Nomination for Best R&B Album.

In 2020 during the height of the Pandemic, Cyrus DeShield released an EP titled "In My Right Mind". The project debuted at #5 on iTunes, this not only confirmed for him people were beginning to pay attention but it encouraged him to begin preparing for a Stage performance run. He had previously opened up at the African Festival in ATL in 2019 for Nigerian trailblazer and hit maker Davido, later on for Kizz Daniel and Adekunle Gold, appeared on the Fox network for The Miss Black USA Pageant. Cyrus was then brought on Tour by Musiq to perform at the City Winery venues, doing 20 shows.

The theme of Cyrus DeShield's performance is trip through Afro/ R&B/ HipHop & Soul fused with "Koloqua“. He will be showcasing the musical blends/ link between Liberian/African culture and African American Culture. Cyrus believes good music will always find a home in a heart.
