CRITIC’S PICK: The combination of pub rocker turned adult crooner Lowe with Los Straitjackets’ surfy, vibrato heavy, instrumental prowess lights a fire under the singer. The last time through was a Christmas show but this gig will likely dig a little deeper into Lowe’s extensive catalog. He just re-issued 2008s Dig My Mood from 2008 in an expanded edition, so we’ll likely get some gems from that release. And of course he’ll reprise the evergreen “(What’s So Funny ’bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding,” a song even more pertinent today than when he wrote it 50 years ago. — Hal Horowitz
