Fiddler’s Green Coffeehouse: Jamie Anderson, George Hergen
From the venue:
Fiddler’s Green Coffeehouse presents Jamie Anderson and George Hergen.
Singer-songwriter-parking lot attendant Jamie Anderson of Ottawa, Ontario has played her unique original songs in hundreds of venues in four countries. The Canadian/American is a multi-instrumentalist who’s folk without the Birkenstocks, country without the big hair and jazz without the angst. She has recorded 13 albums.
Fiddler’s Green audiences know Atlanta folksinger/balladeer George Hergen (a.k.a. “Captain George”) as a performer of the Irish folk songs he learned as a teenager from the Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem in Greenwich Village. But in those days he was also becoming steeped in the North American folk music that dominated the scene, and he’ll be sharing a selection from that repertoire in his September set.
Presented by Atlanta Area Friends of Folk Music (AAFFM).
