Join professionals from across these immersive mediums for three days of exclusive events at SCAD Atlanta’s new SCADshow theater.

11:30 a.m. at SCADshow, Main Stage
SCAD alumni working in gaming, visual effects, animation, film, and more share how their SCAD education and experiences influenced their career and their best practices for a lasting job in the industry.
SCAD Animation Studios Presents: The Making of ‘The Last Dungeon’
12:30 p.m. at SCADshow, Stage 2
SCAD Animation Studios offers students from different disciplines the opportunity to work together on an animated film. Join student filmmakers from the studio’s fifth film, The Last Dungeon, in a behind-the-scenes look at this Unreal Engine-driven film. The presentation will be followed by a screening of The Last Dungeon. In a world of magic and combat, three adventurers enter into a forsaken temple and discover a great evil sleeping within. The heroes clash with a powerful necromancer and are nearly defeated until one, a paladin, unleashes his divine power.
Constructing a Career in Transmedia
3:00 p.m. at SCADshow, Main Stage
As the vanguard of transmedia and intellectual property (IP) franchising, the gaming industry provides rapidly expanding opportunities for storytelling. SCAD alum and Gearbox narrative animator Aaron Deerfield illustrates how the expansion of gaming IP blew open a path to success for visual storytellers and performance directors to lead franchise development beyond game play.

Screening: ‘Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake’
7:30 p.m. at SCADshow, Main Stage\
Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake, based on characters from the beloved Adventure Time franchise, follows alternate universe versions of Finn and Jake on a multiverse-hopping journey towards self-discovery. This special screening will include exclusive content.
Executive producer Adam Muto will be presented with the SCAD AnimationFest Spotlight Award. A Q&A with Muto immediately follows the screening.
