On Oct. 21, Uptown will host a free outdoor screening of the 1999 hit, The Mummy, in celebration of everyone’s favorite spooky holiday, Halloween. This community event will feature fall-themed cuisine and beverages from Uptown Test Kitchen’s Chow À La Carte chefs and a live DJ spinning everyone’s favorite spooky tunes. Pre-movie activities will begin at 5 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. Free event registration is now open.
Uptown Test Kitchen’s very own Chow À La Carte chefs will be operating pop-up stalls on The Lawn with globally-inspired and festive bites for guests. Attendees are invited to enjoy Halloween-themed dishes, such as ghoulish meatballs, black spaghetti, bloody mary soup, and more. In addition, the event will have trick-or-treat stations, mocktails, desserts, and beverages available for purchase.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and wear their best costumes. Parking is available in the Garson Deck, and validations will be available at the check-in tent. Additionally, The Lawn is situated across the street from the Lindbergh MARTA station for convenient transportation. “Movies on The Lawn” is free and open to the public, but registration is encouraged.
