Join the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance as we highlight the neighborhood greenspace, Cascade Springs Nature Preserve, while also hiking with our staff experts in the environmental field.

| Prepare to encounter some friends with tails and scales as our hike facilitator takes you around Cascade Springs looking for amphibians and reptiles at the ephemeral frog pong and the beloved waterfall feature. This is a City Nature Challenge event. |

Learn how nature, race, and capitalism intersect on this interpretive hike through a civil war landmark and what used to be a premier resort for the Atlanta politicians of the Reconstruction Era. End your hike with a guided meditation/ heal-the-land practice to energetically nurture and reclaim land that has endured exploitation throughout history. Meditation will be guided by Barbara Faison.
