CRITIC’S PICK: Sierra Ferrell, Jake Kohn, The Eastern — The Americana genre doesn’t have many success stories more impressive than that of singer/songwriter Ferrell. Her 2021 debut, featuring retro mountain music, country swing, and peppy country delivered with her sweet/sassy/girlish voice and vibrant personality, was an immediate hit. She easily sold out smaller venues on positive word-of-mouth based on that album and has now graduated to this larger stage.
