Black History Celebration at Marcus Theatres and Movie Taverns

Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern are celebrating Black stories with a quartet of movies that inspire and entertain while honoring Black voices in film.

From Feb. 23-29, we’ll be showing Origin, director Ava DuVernay’s acclaimed drama that explores author Isabel Wilkerson’s journey in writing her landmark bestseller Caste: The Origin of Our Discontents. You can also catch 2023’s musical revival of the classic The Color Purple. For our other two films, we’re taking it back a few years and revisiting 2017’s raucous comedy smash Girls Trip, and – Hallelujer! – the 2019 hit Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral.

Tickets for each movie are just $5, and include a FREE Jr. Popcorn!
