Learn as Chef Andre Sattler of Barnsley Resort prepares a four-part menu with wines to enhance the flavors of seasonal and local produce in the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen. 

Andre Sattler serves as executive chef of North Georgia’s award-winning Barnsley Resort, operated by Davidson Resorts. Chef Sattler is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations of the resort’s three onsite restaurants: Rice House, Woodlands Grill and Beer Garden. In addition, Chef Sattler leads and manages the culinary team, as well as supervises an extensive banquet operation for weddings and group events across the resort’s 3,000 acres.
Chef Sattler has more than 20 years of culinary experience at a diverse set of world-class resorts and upscale restaurants. Most recently, he served as executive chef at Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Before that, he worked as a task force executive chef at Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, California, and Hotel Jerome, Auberge Resorts Collection in Aspen, Colorado. Throughout his career, Sattler grew his international knowledge and expertise through various positions at prestigious resorts and restaurants in Florida, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Bermuda, and more. Sattler completed his formal culinary training in Germany where he earned a certificate in Hotel Management from Breidenbacher Hof, Düsseldorf.
Chef Sattler is a determined hospitality professional, recognized as a visionary chef and known as an expert in culinary trends. His global and Southern techniques perfectly complement the ethos of Barnsley Resort, where he’s able to use his knowledge to further elevate the resort’s culinary program.
