Will Kimbrough at Eddie's Attic

CRITIC'S PICK: Will Kimbrough, Eddie’s Attic —Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Kimbrough was best known for his guitar skills before his 2000 solo debut. Since then, he’s become an in-demand producer, sideman and all-around Renaissance dude in the Americana field (his 2007 disc was titled Americanitis). Although Kimbrough’s albums are filled with excellent songs and playing, they haven’t delivered commercial knockout punches. Perhaps that will change with the recently released For the Life of Me one of his best, most socio-politically oriented collections and the one you’ll likely hear plenty of songs from tonight. — Hal Horowitz
